The Mater Home Lottery wants to give one lucky winner the Christmas of a lifetime, and with tickets in draw 280, that happy person could well be you!
If you’ve ever been to Bribie Island, you’ll know the joy of walking along a deserted beach, seeing a rare bird at Buckleys Hole or spotting an elusive dugong in the Pumice Passage. But what if you got to live there all year long? All the natural beauty of this exclusive coastal paradise could be minutes from your new home with a win in this luxury-laden draw.
On offer is an opulent four-bedroom home on the canals of Banksia Beach. The residence has been designed to maximize its prime waterfront location, with large open living spaces and an abundance of natural light. You’ll be able to see the water from your master suite, looking down over a property that comes with an inground pool and two stunning outdoor pavilions. There’s surely no better way to bring in the new year than from a million-dollar home in one of the most enviable locations on the Queensland coast.
The Luxurious Home in Banksia Beach
Bribie Island is largely uninhabited, and most residents live in a handful of communities clustered close to the bridge that leads to the mainland across the Pumistone Passage. This is a unique part of the country, where preserving the natural environment and the creatures who live in its waters takes precedence. The Bribie Island National Park occupies almost a third of the island, and most of the interior is filled with inaccessible conifer plantations. That leaves a perfect rim of pure white sand where you can find yourself alone among the waves and gulls.
The prize home, however, is anything but rustic. It’s a palatial four-bedroom residence that borders the water and has an outstanding exterior living area. Entertain your friends and family in the alfresco pavilion that has its own kitchen and BBQ. When you’re done swimming in the canal-side inground pool, put your feet up in the lounge pavilion and watch the boats go by. The inside rooms are just as decadent, with two living rooms and a fantastic media room that’s all set up for cozy movie nights. The master bedroom has its own ensuite, as does the guest bedroom. With four bedrooms in all, there’s plenty of space for everyone in this home that showcases the best of coastal living.
Bribie Island’s enviable location makes exploring the neighbouring Sunshine Coast a breeze. That means you can take advantage of all the golf courses, sporting attractions, shopping, dining and outdoor markets in the area and still come home to your quiet waterfront getaway. Brisbane is only an hour away, and you’ll also have all of the hinterland waiting right across the bridge. If you love the natural beauty of the coast, you’ll be in heaven on Bribie Island.
