Life at the Lucent
Construction of the multi award-winning Lucent Gasworks was completed by Cavcorp. less than a year ago. The 190 apartments look over the Brisbane River and city skyline, with the CBD just five minutes down the road from its Newstead location. The complex focusses on healthy living and convenience, all wrapped up in unbeatable luxury. The Gasworks shopping precinct is right next door, and there are restaurants and boutique shops circling the ground floor piazza. The grounds are impeccable, with gardens and water features throughout the two-acre lot.
The two-bedroom apartment is spacious and well laid-out with a floor plan that makes the most of the fabulous views. The two-sided balcony is accessible from both the central living area and the master suite, with room to dine and a separate exterior lounge. It’s almost entirely enclosed by glass, giving the balcony the feel of a lavish sunroom, but the multiple windows give you the flexibility to let in a cool breeze.
The master bedroom has an ensuite with a walk-in shower while the full bath off the other bedroom gives you a soaking tub. You can choose to leave the retractable wall open between the second bedroom and the media room or close it off entirely. There’s a small semi-enclosed study if you need to do a little work at home, and a large open living area in the centre of the apartment.
The Sky Retreat on the roof of the building is what makes the Lucent really stand out. It spans 1600 sqm with a host of fitness and entertainment options for residents. The centrepiece is the 55-metre infinity pool, the longest in the country. There’s a fully-equipped commercial-grade fitness facility and walking track up there as well. Relax in the detox sauna and spa, try out the golf simulator, meditate in the Zen garden, or take a lesson on the yoga field. When you’re done with all that, there’s a BBQ and al fresco along with lots of comfortable seating where you can just sit back and admire the 360-degree view.
