That’s the question you’ll be grappling with if you’re the lucky winner in yourtown home lottery’s draw #470. On offer is a fully renovated heritage home in Sydney’s classy Rozelle neighbourhood, or a gorgeous residence high on the plateau of Tamborine Mountain with spectacular views of the Gold Coast. It’s your choice, but it won’t be an easy one.
Welcome to Rozelle
Just to the west of downtown Sydney you’ll find Rozelle, a historic suburb that was founded well over a hundred years ago and hasn’t lost any of its historic appeal. The tree-lined streets are filled with heritage homes that comprise one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in the city.
Open markets, boutiques, and fine dining abound, drawing both locals and tourists to the area in their search for antiques, unique fashions and custom jewelry. Sydney’s vibrant core is just a short hop over the bridge if you’re looking for an evening of world-class entertainment before disappearing into your urban refuge.
Old World Charm with Modern Trimmings
There’s a certain character to older homes that you just won’t find in modern constructions. On the other hand, they tend to lack many of the design features that make newer houses so appealing. The first option in draw #470 seamlessly combines the best of both old and new, in a fully renovated home that hadn’t lost its historic charm.

This equally spectacular option puts you squarely in the hinterland but only a short drive from the beaches and attractions of Surfer’s Paradise and the Gold Coast. The views are breathtaking, and you’re surrounded by the natural wonders of the rainforest. Whether you’re in the mood for a tour of a local winery, or prefer to just relax in your outdoor spa, you’ll find that life feels pretty good when the world is lying at your feet.
Quiet Comfort in a Natural Wonderland
Everything about this home makes it very difficult not to spend the day looking out the windows. That’s because they run from floor to ceiling and open onto an incredible view of the rainforest below and the coastal waters beyond.
